THE NAME

More than a name.

Baburu takes its name from バブル (baburu) — the Japanese rendering of “bubble.”

We were drawn to what a bubble represents: lightness, movement, and a form that is never quite fixed.

Almost transparent on its own, it reveals unexpected colour when it catches the light.

That idea became part of how we think about Baburu — creating things that feel useful without feeling heavy, considered without being complicated, and open to new possibilities.

OUR APPROACH

Thought through,
made to feel light.

Life already comes with enough to think about.

We believe the things we use every day can be thoughtful without feeling complicated.

So we take time with the details — understanding what matters, what can be simplified, and what can quietly work better.

What remains should feel intuitive, useful and easy to live with.

A little less to think about.

A little more room to breathe.

WHERE WE BEGAN

Laundry felt like the right place to begin.

We started with laundry, because small, gentle changes make everyday life feel lighter.

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDERS

Baburu is still becoming.

It began with a curiosity about the everyday: why so many ordinary things feel heavier, more complicated, or more demanding than they need to be.

Laundry was our first place to explore a different way. But what we hope Baburu grows into is bigger than any one product: a collection of thoughtful things that make everyday life a little simpler, lighter, and more enjoyable.

We're only at the beginning, and we're glad you're here for it.
